The above album was the work of a session group which comprised among others Deep Purple members, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover and Ian Paice and Albert Lee and Big Jim Sullivan. It was masterminded by producer Derek Lawrence. It's basically R&B played in a hard rock style. It's mostly comprised of cover versions, including Creation's Makin' Time, and is notable for Earl Jordan's strong vocals. The CD reissue on Connoisseur has been remixed and remastered from the original tapes and also includes the bonus of three previously unissued tracks:- Louisiana Man, Ain't Nobody Home and Who Do You Love?. The magnum opus remains Bullfrog, though, a fast instrumental which is full of some superb guitar work. It has a Deep Purplish sound, especially when Ritchie Blackmore plays the leads.
