Quando i Gentle Giant tennero questo concerto al Palasport di Torino, avevo appena 12 anni ed ero quindi troppo giovane per andare a vedere i gruppi rock dal vivo, considerando anche i disordini che caratterizzavano queste manifestazioni all’epoca (vedi “Autonomi” ed elementi del genere …).
È dunque con estremo interesse ed orgoglio che ho deciso di postare questa ennesima rarità “live”. Davvero un peccato che, tanto per cambiare, la qualità della registrazione sia mediocre, soprattutto all’inizio: parti vocali che sovrastano gli altri strumenti, batteria poco udibile, ecc. I primi sette brani fanno parte del concerto che i Gentle Giant tennero nel gennaio 1973 a Torino, gli ultimi due fanno parte di uno show televisivo.

When Gentle Giant played this gig at Turin “Palasport” (“Palazzetto dello Sport”), I was only 12 years old and, therefore, I was too young to go to rock concerts, also considering the riots that would usually take place when such concerts were held (for instance, when extreme left-wing protesters would try to break into the concert venue without getting their tickets, assuming that "young people had the right to see their favourite rock band playing live without paying any money ...").
Therefore I’m taking a great interest and pride in posting this Gentle Giant’s live rarity. It’s a real pity the recording quality is quite poor, as usual with these "unofficial" albums: especially at the beginning, the vocals overwhelm the other instruments playing, the drumming can be barely heard, etc. Tracks #1 to #7 were played at the Turin concert, whereas tracks #8 and #9 were played at a TV live show.
Therefore I’m taking a great interest and pride in posting this Gentle Giant’s live rarity.
