The second single from Liverpool’s Rain was another classic. “Taste of Rain” was lifted from the album of the same name and demonstrates what this band were brilliant at – passionate ballsy guitar driven tunes containing more melodies in 3mins 41 seconds than most band achieve in their careers. Why I love this single so much is due to the quality of the B-Sides – “Laughing Man” shows the band taking it a little slower – still with beautiful melody intact and brilliant lyrics. Finally, “Tumbledown” would have been an A-Side of most bands – an absolute belter of a track – check out the dual harmonies and the guitar interplay – Brilliant Brilliant music – and that was the B-Side!!
