You must submit a resume of runs to be considered, and even then you have to get lucky in the weighted lottery!Bit of a pity that the race (run 0600 Friday through Sunday) will fall such that we won't be able to pop buy to or from Crested Butte and catch some action. Karl Meltzer, the best ultrarunner in the country over technical 100 milers, has been on a tear setting course records at the Bighorn among others.
