Ugly vs Beautiful People is The Czars' 4th album released in 2001. The album delivers such a great amount of pathos that it holds you in a trance. The Czars accomplish this feel with melodic guitar and piano notes accompanied by John Grant's melancholy voice. Of the songs on the album, Killjoy probably stands out the most; beautiful electronica, the serene voices of a woman and Grant, and an ensemble of trumpets, castanets and backup voices gives this one extra significance. All the sounds come together mid-end and create some amazing shit.
